Minotauro and Kongo at UFC79

 Another rumoured bout for the UFC79 card in December is the no.1 contender matchup between former Pride heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and the french kickboxing specialist Cheick Kongo who is fresh over a unanimous decision win over once feared Croation striker Mirko ‘Crocop’ Filipovic. If ‘Big Nog’ can get past Kongo expect a March date with Randy ‘the Natural’ Couture for the UFC heavyweight belt.

 Here’s what Nog had to say:

“My next fight must be in December, with the Cheick the Congo. It was announced that I would face the winner of the combat of the Cro Cop, that was it. The duel must be in 29 of December and after this fight I wait to have the possibility to dispute the cinturão (belt).”
